About the Program
Why
This mentoring program is aimed to connect professional experts and those who wish to do a process while they got a pro escort by their side. A mentor is a volunteer who shares her/his time and knowledge and donates the proceeds to our supported non-profit organizations. A mentee can have a professional mentor to escort him/her in their professional journey, in exchange, s/he donates cash. Each mentor was selected carefully thanks to his/her experience. Through the program, the mentee will be guided to fulfilling goals through a series of meetings.
What
The program is built on A rich pool of volunteers, from various fields (product, qa, ds, ux, hr business development, strategy, sales, etc.) who respond to various professional levels, among them juniors, seniors, team leaders, ceo’s, entrepreneurs, etc.
For a period of 3 months, as a mentee, you will have your mentor and the whole group by your side! The pairing of the mentees-mentors will be decided according to the mentees’ process, goals, and current professional position. After application, the mentee will be contacted and paired with his/her best-fitted mentor, and the payment (donation fee) will be with the mentee’s approval to the chosen mentor and the proposed time. Notice that the application for the program doesn’t guarantee your participation in the program.
You will have ten 1:1 sessions of 1 hour each with your mentor, in addition, we will have 3 meetups (real, face-to-face, like the good old days).
This is the 4th cohort of the program, after helping almost 140 mentees on their professional journey and donating about 135,000 NIS to NPOs, we are thrilled to expand this doing and help even more people and creatures ^_^.
Who
Being a mentee is a commitment, the mentor can’t do your work, s/he can only escort and advise you. Everyone needs a mentor, whether you are a newbie (haven’t worked yet in the field), an intern/junior (this is your first job), junior+ (over 2 years xp), or an entrepreneur/startup/business.
The full description is listed below.
When
The program begins with an opening session with all the mentees and mentors, and the nonprofit organizations to which you will be donating.
The intro meetup will give us a chance to get to know each other and learn about our mentoring and personal development journey.
This will be the first time we will all meet, from this day on, for 3 months, we have one goal and that’s to help each other. During those 3 months, we will be available offline on Whatsapp & Linkedin groups for any questions.
As a mentee you can also contribute to others, if you wish to give a talk, to share a tip or an idea with the group – please do!
The first meeting with the mentor is to set quantitive goals for the program. Afterward, in each session, the mentor will review your progress, and will help you to exploit your challenges.
The sessions with the mentor will be once every 1 week for the first month, for the following 3 months, a meeting 2 weeks, you will set the date & time together with him/her.
During the program, we will contact you to collect feedback and make sure you’re all good ^_^.
The middle meetup will focus on getting to know the people who experience the journey with you in a roundtable setting.
The last meetup will focus on the program review, sharing experiences and getting some inspiration for the journey ahead.
How does Give & Tech mentoring process works?
1. Application
First, consider what you want to achieve and apply to the program before 16.04.2023.
2. Matching
1. We match the mentees and mentors according to their needs and preferences.
2. Then, we approve the match with the mentor.
3. Then, we approve the match with the mentee and the mentee donates.
3. Set execution plan & KPI
With your mentor, you will decide on your execution plan and KPIs at the beginning of the program.
4. Measure, tune, replan
In each session with mentor, you will review your progress, insights and plan the future action items.
5. 3 f2f group meetings
At the beginning, middle, and end of the program, we will have three meetups with insightful lecturers.
6. Donating
At the end of the program, the volunteers choose to whom channel the proceeds from the program according to the “Give & Tech volunteers donation protocol”.
